Jubilee Road Gospel Hall, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire

A Brethren Church was started in Newton Stewart in 1879 and met in Miss Moorehead's house. From there they moved to meet in the McMillan Hall, Municipal Buildings in Dashwood Square. By 1928 they were in a Gospel Hall but at a location not yet identified. In 1955 they purchased a cottage in Jubilee Road and converted it to a Gospel Hall.

Construction materials: Stone (whinstone) - Used for walls; Slate - Used for roof;

This Gospel Hall has whinstone and granite walls and a slate roof, and is in good condition and in full ecclesiastical use. No other information is available at the present time. Compiled by J. Dowling, 18/3/2004.

The windows are unsurprisingly domestic in style. The building is aligned north/south with the entrance towards the north end of the west side wall.
