Kirkmabreck Church of Scotland, Creetown, Dumfries & Galloway

A church/chapel was built at Creetown prior to 1351 as in that year it was granted to Dundrennan Abbey by Pope Clement VI. It continued as such until the Reformation. A new church was built onthe same site in either 1626 or 1633 as Kirkmabreck Parish Church. A manse was built about this time. In 1834 a new church was built on a site to the south where there was space for a burial ground. These buildings have both been demolished.
