Site Church of Scotland 2 & 3 & BG, Ochiltree, Ayrshire

The Pre-Reformation Church of St Conal was possibly restored or rebuilt about 1562. The vicarage was dedicated to St Conal and the church had an altar to St Mary. The lands of Ochiltree were granted to Andrew, Lord Ochiltree in 1567. Stair Parish was formed from part of Ochiltree Parish in 1653 or 1669.

The Parish Church of St Conal was replaced about 1670 possibly on the same site. This church was then replaced in 1789 by the present church in Main Street.
