St. Giles' Roman Catholic Church

St Giles' Roman Catholic Church is located near the centre of Kennoway, close to the playing fields of the town's school. It sits within fenced grounds with a combination of monoblock paving and a tarmac parking area. The church was built in the 20th century and is a kit form building, which was originally clad in corrugated metal (hence it used to be known as the 'Tin Church'). In recent times this cladding has been replaced with wood and the roof now has modern tiles.

The church is rectangular and aligned east-west and consists of the nave, chancel and an entrance porch at the west end. It has low walls and a large, steeply-pitched roof. The walls of the nave feature large rectangular windows with stained glass, which are part-dormer as they extend above the wallhead into the roof. The chancel is at the east end and has a slightly lower roof height than the nave. It has small rectangular windows with clear glazing. The porch at the west end of the church is lower and narrower than the nave. It has a deeply-recessed, wide doorway in the centre with small rectangular windows on either side. There is a narrow flat-roofed extension on the north side of the porch with two larger rectangular windows. Attached to the nave gablehead, above the porch, is a tall wooden cross.

The designs on the windows are: a pax, a Holy Grail, a shrouded cross, a dove, a bible with hands held in prayer and a wheel headed cross. The interior has yet to be recorded and photographed.
